Karen Bondy, P.E., has been General Manager of the Brushy Creek Regional Utility Authority since Aug. 1, 2018. Bondy, a 36-year water industry veteran, worked nearly 20 years with the Lower Colorado River Authority prior to joining the BCRUA.

In 1998, Bondy began a 20-year career with LCRA. During her tenure with LCRA, Bondy oversaw key water resource planning and construction projects, including LCRA’s Water Management Plan (WMP) updates, and developing the $250 million Arbuckle Reservoir Project. The Arbuckle Reservoir Project is key to maximizing Highland Lakes storage during future droughts.

As BCRUA’s General Manager, Bondy will oversee an expansion of BCRUA’s treatment system, while completing final design and construction of the Phase 2 Deep Water Intake in Lake Travis.
